There are two main reason for registering for your wedding.
#1. It’s suppose to make things easier for your guests
#2. To ensure the couple gets items that they want. (With so many couples living together prior to their marriage, couples don’t always need the standard household items).
-Register at a store that is convenient for your guests. If guests are out of town perhaps a store that offers online orders? or is a chain with local locations for everyone. If you want a store that has some unique items then ask the store if they can do a gift card registry or take online orders for out of town guests.
-Already have all the houseware’s you need? Register for your honeymoon. It’s a great way for guests to buy a gift in any dollar amount that they wish to.

It’s acceptable to include your registry information in your shower invitations(since someone else is hosting and inviting) but it shouldn’t be included in your wedding invitation, nor should requests for monetary gifts.
