A lot of couples are booking their destination weddings/honeymoons to the Caribbean in the winter. It’s a great excuse for everyone to take a week off work and escape the Canadian snow. Prices are very competitive during the winter, except during holidays. Trying to get away over the Christmas Holidays or March Break comes with a price. Child friendly resorts can be pricey over the summer months although those are not typically the best weather months for the Caribbean, especially late summer.
Downside to booking your destination wedding/honeymoon during Christmas Holidays or March Break
-prices can go up $500-$1000+ per person for the exact same packages.
-It’s a very busy time to go. Expect the beaches and pools to be full
-Expect a lot of children, teenagers and college students
Upside to booking your destination wedding/honeymoon during Christmas Holidays or March Break
-Children are out for the holidays and don’t need to miss school
-Adults may be off over the holidays or have less holidays to use up to go away
