Maybe this post is a more about the trends I see rather than a forecast since I am well into the planning for 2012/2013 couples but here they are:
Since your wedding photos should last forever, I have always recommended hiring the best photographer that you can afford. Beautiful photos never go out of style and couples continue to put photographer at the top of their list for most important ways of spending their wedding budget. There are so many options for good photography so the day of hiring a friend to take your wedding photos(unless they are a professional photographer) are done! Couples aren’t willing to chance that an amateur is going to miss moments and leave them with horrible and unflattering photos of the day. Professionals have years of experience on the best angles, lighting and techniques. As well they have mastered editing the photos and are going to make sure that the photos are the best they possibly could be.
Couples are also insisting on DVD’s of all the images and why not, you don’t want to have to track down your wedding photos in 5 years because you need another copy.
